The University of Galway is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor / Lecturer (Above the Bar) in Health and Ageing Economics.

We invite applications from candidates whose work addresses the Economics of Ageing or Health Economics more generally.


Applications are especially welcomed from candidates with research interests in any of the following areas:
Ageing and public policy; Ageing and dementia; Ageing and social inequalities; Work and retirement; Economics of social care

Health economic evaluation; Health preferences; Health behaviours; Health outcomes; Health inequalities; Health and environment

The position complements existing expertise across the School of Business & Economics, the Institute for Lifecourse and Society (ILAS), and the University, and aims to enhance capacity in the areas of Health Economics and Ageing. In particular, the successful candidate will have opportunities for collaboration with colleagues working in the Health Economics and Policy Analysis Centre (HEPAC), the Irish Centre for Social Gerontology (ICSG), the Centre for Economic and Social Research on Dementia (CESRD) and the Centre for Economic Research on Inclusivity and Sustainability (CERIS).
